http://www.ProGuitarShop.com We demo the newest Fulltone Fulldrive 2 MOSFET overdrive pedal! Fulltone was the first company to offer a foot switchable Boost in an overdrive pedal. When first introduced the Fulltone Fulldrive 2 was a ground breaking pedal. Now featuring a switchable Mosfet transistor circuit, resulting in fatter sounds and more growl, an option that only improves the Fulldrive 2. They also manufacture their own 3PDT Super-Duty switch allowing true bypass when disengaged. The FD2 features a "Vintage" mode for a mid heavy hump as found in the mid 90's Fulldrive 2, or an "FM" or flat mids that will offer a more natural sound. This mode was actually enhanced to produce an even more transparent overdrive. You can also cut the compression of the Fulldrive 2 Mosfet using the "CompCut" feature. This switch has been relocated from the volume pot to a 3 way mini toggle. The Fulltone FD2 is housed in a bulletproof and beautiful powder coated blue enclosure. Channel one is the overdrive mode and is capable of a non compressed clean boost or a light to medium overdrive. All of this while still maintaining the integrity of your guitars' original tone. The tone knob is an incredibly effective presence control that will smooth out or add some upper harmonics to your signal. The footswitchable second channel, or "Boost" mode features its own distortion control and is capable of medium to higher gain setting with a singing violin like sustain. This pedal gets its natural sound through the use of Asymmetrical Clipping and "Feedback Loop" circuit... a way of creating distortion high in even ordered harmonics like a Class A tube amp! True Bypass w/ LED is standard equipment. New for the Full-Drive 2 MOSFET:
* A choice of either MOSFET or Normal clipping modes
* normal mode is now even more open, you will not get that blanket over your amp sound.
* The LED's have been moved, Fulltones' exclusive "No pop no thump" True Bypass. Fulltone also borrowed the OCD's super bright LED's
* a beautiful sparkle Blue Metallic powder-coat finish for this...the final version of the most popular boutique OD ever made.

I have the blues driver. Rather than replace it, i am planning on getting another OD and using the BLues driver on a low gain setting for a warm boost. I wouldnt replace it, just change its function
