Subway now uses less sodium, but sodium isn't the biggest problem. Bryan Marcel shows how to make a Subway sandwich healthier. This is the first video in a six part series on fast food. Is subway healthy? Is Subway good for you? Is any fast food actually good for you. In this series Bryan will also be visiting Wendy's, Burger King, McDonald's and Chick-fil-A. The focus of the American diet is calories and fat, when it should be on simple carbohydrates, sugar, HFCS and processed food. In most cases fast food, such as Subway is the same low quality processed food that you can buy at a regular grocery store. Subway, like all fast food is devoid of nutrition. To Subway's credit they only use HFCS in their 9 grain wheat bread. The lunchmeat used at Subway is the same highly processed meats that you buy in the grocery store. All of the chemicals, preservatives and nitrite's that Subway and other restaurants use simply are not healthy. http://www.BryanMarcel.com

  • Why did you choose the whitest bread ? At least where I live you can pick a wholemeal bread or even one that has rye in it.

  • @LittleRainbowMiss Subway's 7 grain bread has HFCS in it. No matter what the grain, none of their breads are good for you, so it really doesn't matter which one you choose. Check out the article on my site about whole grains. Thanks.

  • If i eat the food depends on what it is. I threw half of the bread away, but ate the sandwich. The chips and empty drink cup (I never fill them) I gave away. Now Burger King and Taco Bell... No, I didn't eat that and I wouldn't want anyone else to either.

  • sounds like kermet the frog !!!

  • @Evoluta Ha Ha. You're not the first and probably not the last to say it. So, I look like the crocodile hunter and sound like Kermit the frog. There has to be an angle I can work there.....

  • @babybeAsta877 No, I didn't say that. Just recognize that both fast food and processed foods are poor choices. They are both low quality foods with imcomplete nutrition profiles.

  • so ur basically saying never eat out... ever...

  • This video is filled with misinformation on nutritional science...

  • i eat all these foods and im skinny and healthy . I eat mcdonalds, wendys, taco bell just about ever un-healthy place im not obese actually have 4% body fat . its all about working out and you can eat anything. our foods in america are bad but its just that people are lazy and dont want to get up off there ass and work out fuck sake people

  • good to know!

  • It obviously irritating and to complicated, Doc Oz would like us to take our 14 inch stack of notes to figure out lunch, then add in u nite doc oz's paycheck to eat clean. The people who need to watch this are the governement and the GOP who want a weaker FDA and EPA, so we can only a imagine a world where our food was made with our best interest and all we have to do is choose our sandwhich

  • i love this guy...

  • damn im speechless after watching your videos ....subway was my favorite!!!!!!!! lol good info though!!

  • Can you imagine being a starving child and watching this video? Throw half the bread away! No wonder people hate Americans.

  • The meat and cheese is also processed as all hell... best bet, veggie sub or a salad!...ALL of the meat is processed frozen out of the bag stuff loaded with preservatives and chemicals that are terrrible for your body.. the only sauce i use there is mustard..

  • so what are we suppose to eat when we @ street ??

  • My living conditions do not promote cooking or even preparing raw vegetables (no place to prepare, cut, blend, nothing). I try to eat raw nuts, celery, anything that I can just grab and eat. But I find myself eating fast food a lot. This has obviously caused weight gain. I have since gone back to just eating subway for fast food. I get the ham or roast beef, no cheese, the white Italian bread, tomatos, onions, spinnage, black olives, jalapenos, mustard and a ton of black pepper. Weight is down
