W.T. Woodson Chorale sings Brahms for spring concert, June 4, 2008, directed by Michael Ehrlich. Right after this song, a tornado warning forced evacuation of the auditorium and a 45-minute "intermission" before concert could proceed!
why do the Sopranos and altos wash out the men???? i cant hear them at all!! we performed this piece for UIL and we had the same thing...women get all the good parts and wash the men out
The crescendos were barely noticeable, and I didn't feel as if they had enough dramatic variation. Particularly on from the beginning to the first big jump in the soprano part. The second part was better, but I found it lacking. And, where are the altos? Lol.
I love this piece this too, but it really needs to move and use a little more rubato. As well, the stresses should be on beat 1 and unstressed on beat 2. That would allow the piece to fall in line with what the prosidy should be. The choir makes a pretty good sound. It just doesn't sound like Brahms.
why can i only hear the soprano's ?

I totally agree with you guys, where are the altos? I sang alto myself but even I find it very hard to hear them^^
But I like your homogeneity!
And you did a great job with your german, I just distinguish a tiny little bit of an accent^^
