yeah that's the problem when it comes to putting a story from comics, novels, books onto the screen because not every detail can be fitted into the storyline but they try to pick out the key pieces which can lead to missing some of parts out just like in HP or LOTR movies not every detail was there but some important pieces had been altered =/ like you said for EQ if they skip things hopefully they'll do it right

Like I said as a fan I would LOVE a 6hr movie I mean I loved Dances with Wolves that I even got the LONGER version, I think anything you are a fan of you are willing to sit through longer, like those that watch the HP videos back to back.....I just found out today that I turned my brother onto EQ because I posted a link to HY#1 on my facebook thanks to the digital comics, cause I know over the years I lost some of mine by sharing :( If they skip things I hope they do it right

But 6 hrs is enough to get alot of detail in ;[

[even though they said the first book would be sped up in a way so books 3 and 4 must be a loooong one, 2 is just the start of 3 and 4 obv etc]

@Eskimop16 I think 6hrs would be a bit long and hard to sell, think of LOTR...people knew that story better then EQ, and some people complained about how long it was.

Then again true fans don't care the length as long as it is true and a good representation I myself would sit the 6hrs but I want this to reach those that don't know the joy of EQ so maybe a shorter films is a better way to go
