"Private giving is a major reason so many of our students can persist and get their degrees. That's why I support the UMass Boston Fund."

When I entered my freshman year at UMass Boston in 1981, I immediately understood that my background would never determine the places my UMass Boston degree could take me.
Being a first generation college student, the staff members of the Directions for Student Potential Program believed in me and helped to fortify my academic skills.

Twenty-eight years later, I'm still at UMass Boston. Now, working in academic support services, I am called on to identify and champion our students' potential.

Whether you invest in scholarships, research, faculty, or other aspects of campus life, your gift is the foundation for student achievement and success.
My life might have been very different if it were not for the support I received at UMass Boston. I give so we can continue to transform the lives of those who enter our doors.
It's easy to give.
