A nice idea. I see some disadvantages or problems though.
One is that sometimes a low BG is not felt in time.
Also you might need much more (battery) power to get your SOS signal where you want it if you're somewhere out there than you might think right now.
I'd go for the continuous BG measuring (with alarms).
It is already there, but too big, and too cumbersome, and too expensive.
