Sungguh sayang, aset ini kurang dipoles dengan baik, sehingga hanya menjadi tambang uang PT yang mengelolanya saja. Padahal bisa lebih dari itu. Borobudur punya banyak dimensi, tetapi yang paling keren bisa jadi madu penggerak kemakmuran daerah sekitarnya. Pemda Magelang harusnya study banding ke Bodhanath Nepal dan juga ke Bodhgaya, biar punya cakrawala terhadap betapa situs agama bisa menjadi penghidupan dan kemajuan.

@lemuriavi yes but it was(luckily) found by a bule ,who founded Singapore.. what are the great monuments we now left behind?Monas? We need to keep our own culture, as you can see others claim it (Raffles,Malaysia) malu banget!

They were doing restorative work on it last April to prevent water from deteriorating the recessed areas of stonework beneath what you walk on. It's a great site to see.

@pixusbubblejet its simply to big to destroy, to much of a nuisance, and also it was covered by ash and rainforest after the death of majapahit kingdom, at first it was discovered, only the top can be seen... so no islamic kingdom bother to do something... and, most of the islamic people in java long time ago fuse the islamic teaching with old javanesse teaching and that kind of place are considered sacred...
