@rimreeper rules can be different from army to army

@Ferdinand1703 Nice! In that case i may end up in the Mess units, i plan to do Hospitality Uni first, then the service, so i may end up in the kitchens or organizing logistics. =P

The loader is only moving the round. Only with an empty breech. That or the soldier is reloading the mag that's it. The mag door is locked. When the gunner calls up a (Heat round or a sabot) the loader would be holding the wrong round. maybe other older tanks? but not a Leopard C2 that I know .And the Swiss don't mess up. I'm Canadian Armed forces.

Ansonsten netter Clip!

@killerjulien
I am off the army now for couple of years. When I joined in 1993 I had to take some tests (intellectual/handskills/civil driving licence mandatory) beforehand. At the conscription day the officer decided based on the results to put me in the tank unit. Not sure if it is still the same today. Switzerlan has a milicia so the army prefers to take people with civil skills for such units (like mechanicans/farmers (able to drive tractors) etc.

Really nice video.
I self served on a Leopard2 in sweden.
But one strange point, why is the loader holdning the ammunition while the tank is still moving? Yes, the loading goes faster but is it safe? The hatch is meant to be opened each time the loader reloads?

Hi flugan
Rule is that the loader always have the next ammo ready to reload as fast ast possible, even when moving. Correct would be the hatch closed and always opened/closed for new ammo. However it is too slowly so it is a habit (lack of discipline :-) to keep it open.
btw. even with the practise above we do not load that fast it is more a question of film-editing.Btw. many colleagues of mine served on Leo II in Sweden.
Regards from Switzerland.
