  • @renderrob Hello

So the motor that he is using is a treadmill motor and inside the treadmill there is an integrated motor controller that he used in his previous movie. it can be ran by connecting a pot to the controller terminals.

  • What kind of accuracy do you get? Got a web page?

  • Does the motor lose torque at low revs ?

  • omg, I have one of those motors already (same exact body). Any info on the motor controller? Does it vary speed simply by voltage?

  • What's th highest RPM that machine can have?

  • These motors can be had from various surplus shops; they are made by United Technologies.

  • So, how much did it cost and how accurat is it? what is the repeatability?

Mount it at a 30 degree angle an it would run like a Mori Seiki

  • Nice, same motor I plan on using to convert my 9x20 to DC varispeed.

  • I love how all the real machinists equate treadmill motor to Burdens :-)

How are you controlling your motor?

  • Nice motor. Surpluscenter?
