So the motor that he is using is a treadmill motor and inside the treadmill there is an integrated motor controller that he used in his previous movie. it can be ran by connecting a pot to the controller terminals.

These motors can be had from various surplus shops; they are made by United Technologies.

Mount it at a 30 degree angle an it would run like a Mori Seiki
