  • The point is this song actually reminds us the Turks our great national hero Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey. That's why we don't sing it with our vocal cords, it comes from our hearts. Atatürk's motto was "Peace at home, peace in the world". We try to live up to this motto, and we always will.

  • It was an honor witnessing such passion and feeling from a whole stadium. I was there and i din't find any video to show how it REALLY sounded there.

    My respects to Turkish public.

    Peace my friend, Atatürk was the best. Because his way leads to a proud religion, 100% muslim but 100% religion is private and state law is independent from religion. Secularization is the key word.
