on line video competition to recreate moments from Martha Graham's "Clytemnestra"
Blakeley White-McGuire as Cassandra
CASSANDRA is a Prophetess and mistress of King Agamemnon. She warns the people that the King is being murdered, but is not believed.
With this video i would like to recollocate the ancient Greek myth of Cassandra in the actual world scenario, as its story has still relevance today. A modern Cassandra will probably keep on announcing forthcoming tragedies, sufferings and iniquities all over the world from Kenya to Darfur, from Brasil to Afghanistan, from Europe to USA.
But I also wanted to give a sign of hope, because we can believe to what Cassandra's foresees. We MUST develop our way of seeing thing, we have the right to think differently and operate accordingly to prevent harmful events that will just ruin our world.
we should follow more artists way of viewing things.
we should pursue beauty, love, care for human beings and for the whole planet.
Behind my personal Cassandra remash there's a confident message of HOPE.
