The remnants of tropical storm Olga had graced us with plentiful winds and showers and after a very hectic day yesterday we decided not to undertake any major driving adventures today. Instead I met with Victoria Rivera who works at the Golden Sands Vacation Club, so she would be able to give me a tour of the facilities. Victoria showed me around the resort, took me on a tour of their presentation suite which can actually be separated into a full one-bedroom apartment and a studio apartment with a mini-kitchen. She also took me around the swimming pool area, the lobby of the Embassy Suites building as well as the golf course that surrounds the complex. Along the way Victoria, as a Puerto Rican native, also talked to me about Puerto Rican culture, music and food and gave me some insider tips about local municipal beaches that I could discover. Once it had cleared up in the afternoon, I hopped in the car and started my local explorations around Dorado and found a couple of nice beaches which were mostly empty due to the recent rainfall.

GRACIAS

  • The beach is public

  • POR LA INDEPENDENCIA DE PUERTO RICO.

  • People that stay in the hotel are mostly the ones that use the beach but as far i know there are no private beaches in puerto rico, they cant deny you to enter the beach because all beaches are public.
