You know keltoi, we could not do this just right at the moment but if we started now in about 30 years we would be able to absolutely abolish this system, because people would look after themselves, They would make preparations in their early life, thus they would have descent life, when they are elder.
I suggest reading Liberty Primer of Alan Burris

Thanks for the tip- I just put it on hold at my library. Regardless of his argument, some people DID die! They lived their lives in "charitable" institutions that were not great. Those instutions are still awful (nursing homes), and I've spent 3 years as a resident advocate so I'm familliar with that, but they are still awful places.
Thanks again!

Who took care of them in the past? Did they all die? Read The Revolution: A Manifesto, where he discusses precisely this.

I love Ron Paul, but the libertarians still haven't answered the one important question of mine: without government paying for programs like medicaid, who will take care of the elderly and disabled? If you answer,"The Community!" be honest with yourself. But Ron Paul is dead right in his critique of the Federal Reserve and the Bailout. I wish he had been the Repub nominee. I would have had my first reason to vote Repub. Thanks for these vids.

This video was recorded in May 2008, I think. Sorry, it's a bit old. Still, I like it, and many of us just can't get enough of Dr. Paul.
