  • wow, I'm jealous. I want one. Haha

  • @m34nb34n :)

  • May I ask your tuning? Thankyou!

  • @223torvalson Hi, i've tuned the guitar like this: e, bb, Gg, dd, aa. So, the lowest string is G

  • Thanks for your kind remark about my instruments. I'm still learning how to do it. I have to apologize for not remembering Basel - I am always in a hypnotic state when I'm in Europe, for some reason..

I think your (?)Spanish-style Bar. guitar is excellent. I'm envious - who made it?

  • @JoelvanLennep dear joel, thank you again for all the comments. I really apreciate it. I understand you don't remember. We were a lot of new people there. It happens to me when I travel for my concerts. A lot of people say hello and years after I don't remember them unfortunately.

Do you have an e mail adress? I can write you there about guitar, technic and everything you wish to know.

Please, if you a have a minute, have a look on the de Visée Chaconne for theorbo, also in my youtube channel.

  • Your Xacaras is excellent, and I have listened to the G major chaconne also. (Didn't I write you about it? I meant to,) I liked it and this piece so much that I forwarded them to a few of my music-loving friends. We'll see what they say... The deVisee is really good - full of life and a real feeling of DANCING! (Quite rare among chaconnes - especially those played on the theorbo.) I must ask you elsewhere about the instrument and your manner of playing it - questions which quite interest me.

  • Yes, Xavier, I have an email address - in fact I have two. The one I like to use most is: violerosviejos@yahoo.com The other is (pls use this if you think I am not receiving your letters): joelvanlennep@gmail.com

It is a pleasure to be in communication with you! There are many lutenists/guitarists/theorbists on the i-net, and a good number of them are competent players. However, I rarely really enjoy listening to them, even though, out of curiousity, I do.

But, you are a real artist!

  • @JoelvanLennep thank you Joel, we met once in Hoppy's house in Basle. I admire your instruments,

    best regards from Barcelona!
