@gralgeorgeeho0257 haha he is an idiot.
so yourr saying max your credit use all your money and saving money is stupid?
the rich saved more than they spent.
the poor spent more than they saved.
so to spend everything is to choose to be poor.
i bought my own house straight out by spending only what i needed to for 4 years.
now im 30 and own my own house and car and have never had a credit card.

Bush administration was a DISASTER

where is the full one in context?

@grashnelix Yurpp 110%

IT makes perfect sense, the war runs on the economy, and the economy runs largely on the spendings of the consumers.
-
I mean, it makes sense that Bush told the American people to go shop more. To run a war, you need a good economy supporting it, an economy that is largely based on the spendings of the consumers.
-
@uberjim83 Exactly.
-
American people: "New York was just attacked by terrorists!" "Thousands of people are dying!"
Dubya: "Shut up and shop"

@fatjohn1408 He was saying that when our country was at or near the bottom of a recession. That's when you're supposed to buy it; then, when the economy is doing well, you can sell it as a massive profit. tl;dr if you had done it, you'd be rich now.
The horror! THE HORROR!

If you don't hold up the consumer economy by shopping religiously, they might have to adjust by selling products you actually want (independently of being told to buy them) at prices you can afford! If that happened, then the people selling the stuff would have to settle for being mere millionaires, and would have to make an actual contribution to society! Dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!
