G8 summit - protest by sea

G8 countries are responsible for over 80 percent of the climate change we witness today, and still emit over 40 percent of all global emissions. They are therefore morally bound to act first and act firmly. But there was far more talk than action at this year's summit.

Protesters were kept well away from the summit, but we managed to get our message through - prompting comment from chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.

i mean comon you guys protest for the smallest things. as if those boats are o so good for the environment.o wel atleast you guys are still beter then gaia.few monts ago they complained that the Crocodiles in a zoo had no shelter,next day you see on the news that those crocodiles are wax statues..XD

Es haben sich Boote in ein gesperrtes Seegebiet begeben und wurden abgedraengt. Das ist der Job der Kuestenwacht.

Und der wurde erfuellt. So einfach ist das.

Und das hat nichts, aber auch garnichts mit dem Recht auf Meinungsaeusserung zu tun.

Vor viiiielen Jahren habe ich bei Greenpeace mitgemacht. Ich bin ausgestiegen als ich (fuer mich) bemerkte, dass diese Organisation ihren eigenen "Terrorismus auf See" abzog.

So sehe ich das.
