Okay, okay. I saw it, I loved it. Thank you Kyle. Somehow this movie slipped by me and damn am I glad it's your favourite film; I'd never have seen it otherwise. And I gotta say, having heard the story before I watched it didn't soften the impact of it. Thanks again for the introduction of a wonderful film into my collection (at the low price of £2 from Blockbusters bargain bin no doubt!).

@AkewsticRockR The opening was brilliant, with the American football game; maybe it was because I could relate to that scene having played defence in Rugby at high school and despite being part of an impenetrable wall the defence never really gets the spotlight. Also Angus' entire final speech, the way it just left Rick dumbfounded and speechless as the crowd clapped him. The ultimate in feelgood moments.

@neverchris What is your number one, Chris? And you're right, aside from Kathy Bates, nobody's really moved on from this film. Angus himself, Charlie Talbert has actually lost a ton of weight and I'd never know it was him if the pictures hadn't been labeled.
