Local folk singer-songwriter powerhouse Joshua James stopped by the KRCL studios (90.9 in Salt Lake City, UT) right before a 2-month tour. This is the song that hooked me on his new album, but it's even cooler to hear him attach that Sun Kil Moon cover onto the end of this one.
I have to attend a funeral today for a bikie and this song has just set the mood for the day. What a beautiful and touching way to tell a story.....the words are so relevant. Thanks Joshua James xxx
Here are the chords for the S.O.A. version. This video's version is a half step down. I hate capos. F# I ain't cutting my hair till the good lord comes F# I ain't cutting my hair till the good lord comes, B arrive upon the mountain just to see what we have done, F# I ain't cutting my hair, C# cutting till the good lord comes. B Cuz it's a coal, F# it's a coal war. Bridge A B F#
I saw Joshua at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago recently, and I was quite taken by the honesty and passion in his songs. There is a sense that these guys really know who they are and what they want to tell you. I was very impressed, and hope to see them again when they come back this way.
Thanks for sharing, he's awesome. excellent quality
