  • Do you guys know where I can find studio version(if there's one) or another performance of this song by Paul Butterfield? I loved when he sung his part of this song during bb king blues sessions along STRV and Albert King

  • VERY SOULFUL BASS LINE

  • I thought I had all the Butterfield Blues Band recordings..but missed this one. Thanks for alerting me to it. Now to go buy it.

  • @yungsu100 stevie ray vaughn did a great version of this elmore tune, adding that Texas drawl to the chicago blues

  • Wow - capitals....now that's REAL blues youtube commenting!

  • Genius filled with blues

  • This takes my breath away!! So great!!

  • Just good stuff.

  • ELMORE AND HOMESICK WROTE IT NIGHT BEFORE THEY WERE TO GO INTO THE STUDIO , ON A RAINNY EVENING.

ORIGINAL TITLE FOR THE SONG WAS TO BE [ IT IS RAINNING ] BUT AT THE RECORDING SESSION ELMORE FORGOT THE WORDS TO THE SONG

AND STARTED TO IMPROVISE AND SANG IT AS SKY IS CRYING.

THE VERSION POSTED BY @ZINEDINEO 5 IS IN MY OPINION BEST INTERPERTATION OF THE INTENDED MESSAGE SONG WAS TO CONVEY

ALSO THE MOST SOULFUL VERSION OF THE MOST PLAYED AND MOST ENDURING BLUES SONG EVER.
