I don't subscribe to Machiavelli's conclusions and Hobbes is completely wrong but conservatives do love him so.
Both distrusted individual liberty and direct democracy so much they advocated a near totalitarian control from the top down.
It's a philosophy based in fear of free thought and that fear can be seen in people like you.
History shows freedom and individual rights have benefitted society far more than religious control. The Bible's track record on human rights is horrible.

Hey idiot. Don't go tampering with the salutory effect. Remember it is religion that prevents the culture from inverting Hegel and falling off into existentialist idiocy. Unless you want to have the sheeple thinking it's ok to commit fetal homicides and make up their own rules as they go along I'd recommend you'd rethink your actions.

It's fallacious to think without Christianity or any religion society would break down and decend into chaos. All evidence in fact points to the contrary.Take Europe for instance. The Catholic Church held near absolute power for 1000 years and during that time the continent decended into fuedal warring, ignorance, and extreme repression.
As the Church's power waned and classical Humanist ideas took hold society and individual rights improved dramatically eventually paving the way for America.

You've apparently never read Machiavelli or Thomas Hobbes then. Religion is needed to maintain a sort of "unitary culture" without which you have social disintegration.

"and classical Humanist ideas took hold society and individual rights"

You're partly right, but Humanist ideas have since been corrupted into existentialism. (basically what happens is people think there is no God and so they get to make up their own rules -which can't be allowed)

"but one thing I Will NOt DO is judge another's choice."

Why not? Surely you are a rational being are you not? All rational beings can make objective judgments of others.

Pomos and existentialists can't, but they commit the fallacy of confusing objectivity with subjectivity and thus are not exactly "rational" beings.

"Without abortion, life on earth will be HELL anyway,"

Well the abortive parents and the feticide offenders who commit fetal homicide probably deserve that. So who cares?

It's funny to me that, in the end, God will more easily forgive me for doing what I believe in my soul is right than s/he will you for being an empty-headed bigot. Love everybody... right? ;)
