@wotters12345 Fair enough, though I wouldn't say idiots. Yes people can be fooled, and we see what we want to believe. Though as someone who has been exploring the skies since I was a young child, I have NEVER seen anything man made that has even come close to these things, and I have seen such things with my own eyes. Not saying you are wrong, but at least present a better theory rather than calling people idiots. At least they may have a more open mind than you or I :)

@supermratheist: Christians try so hard bc they feel they need to help people. It amazingly does help people just for them to realize that God is real. You can't imagine how many people have changed their lives from criminals to admired and respected leaders. Its the message of the gospels, if read and truly taken to heart, one reflects on the inside self. In most, an honest change can take place for the better. People enjoy love more than hate, want peace not war. Becoming better person for all

@SuperMrAtheist Its really no different than the beliefs that you or any other may "push" on everyone. In case you haven't seen, there is a large movmnt to "push" the ideas of atheism on society. Evolution is nonsense, yet its a belief system that is taught as fact, to "push" that idea out there. The church no doubt tries to push their ideas. Its all about ideas, bc ideas are a precursor to actions. You think that your ideas are your own? You've gave in on someones elses ideas and adopted them.

@gregrutz Our first sources of anything "angelic" comes from these ancient scriptures from iraq area. Our ideas of angels come from their descriptions of interactions with some unknown luminous creatures who resemble men, but can do amazing things. They are referred to as "the spirits of the air, powers, principalities, dominions, angels, etc." Why bc they were luminous things flying around. The wings were added in art to show the fact that they could fly around.

These may not be aliens or angels, nobody really knows for sure. The only for sure is that this is a worldwide phenomenon that has persisted for thousands of years. If you have descriptions from what we consider reliable sources of antiquity, then why wouldn't you think it was the same thing that these people were struggling to describe. There are enough "ufo" videos and images that can be closely described the same as biblical descriptions of these unknown spiritual beings. angels probably

People think its aliens bc their minds have been infiltrated with images and movies since the 40's. As for "normal people" seeing lights, thats exactly what it is. People capturing images of luminous things flying around. When compared with all literature we have, these do match closely with the angelic descriptions of history. People don't want to admit bc of the religious aspects
