Some products just demand a lot of your time. In this case, that's a good thing; because the Zoom R16 is all that.

Get ready to spend some quality time with Owen and his band The Rikters, as they put the portable 16 track recorder to the test in an actual indie-type, acoustically sub-par rehearsal space. Onward to the demo!

  • great video! Thanks!

  • @TheArtyFartyParty

As I learnt about it it's a mixed output: you can put RCA or XLR jack in it, as you like it ;)

  • Which unit has better sound quality (including built in mics)

Tascam DP008 or the Zoom R16?

  • You guys sound like rush!

  • Great video. Cool band too!

  • Great review!

  • How is the sound quality compared with a Boss BR 800?

  • Great review, thanks.

  • Thanks for the video. Very helpful. Just got a R16 and was wondering about the Insert Effects function. I realized you can only insert one effect at a time (unless using 8xcomp). I was trying to insert distortion on two guitar inputs at once.

Can anyone advise as to how to get distortion effects onto two guitar tracks. Still new to this and and managing - for now- to do it through Cubase using the R16 as an interface only.
