Macabre Vignettes: Snow

Journey through a dark, snowy forest to discover larger-than-life raven and spider marionettes handing you paper flowers, lounging fairies, and dancers enchanting you with diversions of movement and sparkle. This glittering site-specific art installation and modern dance escape completely overtakes every square inch of Urban ReThink in Thornton Park with Tamara Marke-Lares's designs and Voci Dance's interactive movement.

Children and adults will marvel at the animal-like sculptural costumes inspired by antiquated fables worn by the forest's inhabitants, the two strange art galleries full of odd dolls, bizarre etchings and sculptural curiosities made from insects and bone and the complete immersion in snow, snow snow.

Heather Henson's IBEX Puppetry is an entertainment company dedicated to promoting the fine art of puppetry in all of its various mediums, nurturing work for a myriad of venues including stage, cinema, and gallery. IBEX projects include Handmade Puppet Dreams, The Puppet Slam Network, The Orlando Puppet Festival, and environmental spectacles.
