As host of 'The National' for 20 years Peter Mansbridge has covered one major event after another. Peter got the big job in 1988, replacing Knowlton Nash. Since then, he's walked viewers through a lot - the fall of the Berlin wall, the '95 Quebec referendum, the '98 ice storm, the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and of course, the 9/11 attacks. Along the way, Peter's interviewed some of the world's most influential people, including most recently, Barack Obama.
