I understand completely what you are saying however, turning around that way can be perceived as a threat it happened to me and I do not teach it to students anymore hell a n off duty officer might just put one in you scanning that way.
i understand you the public may not.

@brian47374 Woops, I deleted the comment because it looked like there was a duplicate, but there really wasn't.
I said something like: "You won't see me doing silly, slow circles around the threat. I will be taking cover before scanning quickly for other threats, and then making a quick egress out of the kill zone with myself and those with me."

@brian47374 Point conceded on the slowness of the circles, you were doing it 'by the numbers' for demonstration purposes.
I do thank you for the video as it made me re-assess my environment yesterday. I looked for areas with no/little cover. I found that 95% of the time, cover was within 15-20 meters, most of the time within 5 meters. So, while this video assumes that cover is not near by, my every-day environment (and probably that of most of your viewers) has great cover availability.

@sgtssstutter First of all, they aren't silly circles. I never said do anything slowly. It's very difficult for the camera to keep up when you are moving as fast as you need to be moving. What if cover isn't nearby?
361 degrees? ummm there are ONLY 360 degrees in a circle!

@hikerboy16 The reason you scan at least 361 degrees is so that you MAKE SURE you scan the entire area.

@hikerboy16 Ok, so, let me get this straight. You've just fired shots & you think that you aren't going to be considered a threat by any scanning technique? I'd rather be a moving target than a stationary target for ANYONE with a gun. Good guy or not. Stationary targets = easy targets. Not forgetting that most LEO's are not good shots. There's a risk with any technique. However, the risk vs. reward factor that determines what is best to use in any situation.
