I got the fake shells from Foster and Smith. IMHO they are very nice. After my daughter's liverockfromhellcontaminatedwithcopper experience I am very picky where I buy.

@carolprudm just type in barnacle for sale on yahoo or whatever search engine you can find the empty shells for sale on a lot of different websites that sell seashells. If you type barnacle on ebay they have the empty barnacle shells for sale. :)

Watch out for Sally Lightfoots! I put two barnacle blennies in my tank and the Sally Lightfoot pulled one out and ate him :( The other has decided to live a little too close to my overflow, but what can you do? I've since pulled the crab and put him in the fuge with a Peacock Mantis Shrimp. Eye for an eye.

Are they living in a natural clump of shells or a fake one? I haven't been able to find real shells but Dr Doster and Smith has a fake clump that I was thinking of buying.

that is awesome! just picked up 1 of these little guys. I want to get like 3 or 4 more. need to find a barnacle shell like your though!
