No it wouldn't.... PC gamers don't really give a darn about arcade games. Different platform, different crowd.

It might sell on the PSN but I don't see it doing better on that service Why? Becuz XBLA has already cemented its' place, as a treasure trove for old-school arcade gamers; it's a very niche but dedicated crowd and it took MS years to establish that audience base. That audience base ain't gonna jump ship anytime soon.

  • was this released in america on the xbla? i really want to try this game.

  • @Yoshirockdude had it for a while now.

  • @nerfhunterseph Yep. GO GET IT NOW, I HIGHLY RECCOMEND IT!

  • "Ikaruga shooting style." LOL Shouldn't that be backwards?

  • Im a ok skool gamer not a COD baby...but this game is freaking hard...just to many weapons to try and figure out which one you want to use and when...Its a good game but i think its not my fav

  • @Shendue I stopped videogames after the Dreamcast...I love my dreamcast...anyways i might actually get a Xbox just to play the ol skool gems

  • I've pumped easily hundreds and hundreds of hours into this game since I first picked it up back when it came out in the late 90's...and I'm glad that the people that couldn't find or afford this gem (after the ebay prices) now get to play it. I downloaded it last night, and I LOVE it. Finally, I can understand what the characters are saying! The Captain narrating the levels is awesomely dramatic.

  • @melvinthedeathless: Oh, and XBLA not only has arcade games like shmups. It also has remakes of classic pc games like Monkey Island or Marathon and lots of old console goodies like Sonic or Streets of Rage 2, and indie games as well. It's not a place for a niche core of old-school arcade gamers, it's an all-around, cross-platforming, cross-genre retrogaming service.

  • @melvinthedeathless: Wrong. I myself like both PC and Arcade games, and i know a shitload of people that does, as well.

Indeed, arcade and pc games are different, but equally enjoyable. I love shmups, racing games and beat 'em ups as much as point-and-click adventures, strategy games, FPSes and Western RPGs.

  • I managed to get a free code for this and it isn't really my sort of game so if you're interested, send me a inbox message and i'll give it to you if you subscribe to us. As i said, its not my sort of game so i'd rather someone else have it

  • @LittleBigKid707b If your a shmup fan you have to get a 360, im a ps3 player too but 360 beats it when it comes to old school shmup hands down i hate to say
