1956 Gibson Country Western acoustic guitar that's going up for sale on ebay. Very good condition, plays great, no dead frets, lot's of character. Has that John Lennon Beatles sound. Strung with RotoSound acoustics. Still has original bridge intact. The B string tuner has lost it's plastic head. Easily replaced, it could use some new ones anyway. Nothing functionally wrong with them though. I tuned the B string with a pliers on the tuner key just fine before this. They don't make guitars like this anymore. Over 50 years of mellow tone in this one.

Sorry about the cats in the background.......it was morning wrestle-mania time. They're loud, but nobody ever gets hurt - Dad makes sure of it :) And no, I am not flipping anyone the bird at 1:50.

  • Why don't you go in the kitchen and make me a sandwich............ So i can a have a couple minutes with that guitar :) Just kidding

  • @EBB47: LOL :) You know, after some of the comments on here, I decided not to sell it. I'm smart enough to know that once it's gone, I'll never have the opportunity to have a guitar like this again. I did some neck adjustments, and hand carved a new bone bridge piece, and put a set of nice thick new Grover tuners on it. Wow. Did some test recording in the studio just throwing my favorite SM57 mic infront of it and an Abbey Roades 1969 compressor......it's not going anywhere now.

  • Hi, thanks for finding me. I've had the guitar since the mid 70s. A kid I was teaching had it given to him by a friend, and he gave it to me cause he thought it was boring :) It's been sitting in a corner every place I've lived since then. Only used it a couple times. There is a crack in the back (easily repaired - affects nothing). I know this is sacrilege, but it doesn't suit any of my music. I need expensive recording studio gear that I will use every day. I'm broke too...
