  • Personally, the nationality of someone playing music, or the genearl nationality of artists in a certain genre bears no significance to me. Love music for music and love artists for their individual genius.

    Peace

  • Good lesson learning it just now. Pat has an impressive backround when you read up on him playing with Tommy Emmanuel etc. Quit the bullshit on his voice I dont reall see what the problem is. Hope he comes to Scotland to teach sometime I'll be there...... this guy is talented and a great teacher.

  • Pat, I'm from Scotland. This is the way it SHOULD be sung. But you do a good job popularising our music, Shuggy

  • The Irish are NOT British.

  • Nice guitar!

  • @comptilion You have a lot to learn. Who do you mean by British? Are you trying to say English? The British are Welsh, Scottish, Irish and English. Get real. By the way would you think that the people of England are all English. No they are a mixture of all these countries. You think that the British is another word for English. It is like saying Canadians and North Americans to include people of America. The people of N. America are predominantly from European stock, otherwise world wide origin

  • Don't you people forget where people of America came from, whether youre talking about North America, or just the USA.

Without Europe us North Americans would not be here, whether we are Irish, Scottish, Brittish, or French.

We are very Multi cultural, I know for a fact almost every Nationality is in Canada today and the USA as well.

We influence one another to better our selves, no one is better then the other.

  • I'm an Australian and it is patently obvious to me that you are correct. The great American musical synthesis changed world musical experience and expression indelibly. WE owe you guys so much. Blues, jazz, ragtime, Big Band, R&B, Bluegrass, Rock 'n Roll, Country, Rockabilly,....can I stop yet? Even the disgusting Rap and Hip Hop is truly American.

  • Ah, but not everyone is picking on America, it houses most of the greatest minds (and some of the dumbest if you don't mind me saying) on the earth, has really proud people (just ask any army guy what they think of America) and it could only get so powerful as it is now by having great influence. And influence isn't always gained by size, I mean, take Rusland for instance, it is the biggest country in the World, but not half as influential as America.

  • No, I don't think that the USA is better than any other country...but I'm tired of people picking on it....yet they all want to come over and take from us. I'm a teacher and a historian...and I KNOW the contributions that the USA has made towards music...are second to none. And I do LOVE the contributions that GB made to metal...heck...metal IS GB. No argument there.
