4.3 Fire Mage PVE DPS tips. (World of Warcraft - Tehgnome)

This video contains my personal opinions of the fire spec. You will notice that some things I say and do, may not agree with the number crunching at EJ and similar places. However, the points I make are what I have learned from years of raiding as fire. If you disagree, thats fine - but try my suggestions, you might be surprised.

With the changes made to Fire in 4.3, it should now be a more viable raiding option. With that, I decided to make a video highlighting the key things I have learned playing a fire mage since early BC. I raided From Kara through Sunwell, as well as Heroic 25 man ICC as fire. I like to think I excelled as DPS, rarely taking a back seat to anyone. From my experiences - these are the small things people miss that make a huge impact on their DPS.

Just to add my 2 cents to this video. Always have 17% hit. With the reforge mechanic it's not hard to get, especially if you download the reforge lite mod, does it all for you and gets you to within a tenth of a % most times. Haste is generally considered the next best stat up until the soft cap. Soft cap is the number that gets your combustion an extra tick. That number is 2005 I believe, but with the new tier 2 pieces, you only need 1505. After haste, go crit. Mastery is always reforged off.

Cauterize, is like oen of the best spells now for DS HC progress. For example ultraxion. nub mage

If it's single target, and you have all your dots on and combution, is it any ideá to use fire blast when it procs? Is it even any idéa to use fire blast at single target?

With the 4.3 t13 gear buff "Stolen Time" you need about 15/16% haste, without it you need 20%.

In Dragon soul 10man (Not lfr) I average 25-28k dps, and that's average, After 15% haste (With atleast two pieces of t13) I go for crit after that. The rotations are explained great in this video, It's exactly what I do.
