Most of these band members have been playing bagpipes or drums for a year or so. The Pipe Major just started with our Grade 4 band last year and graduated from our youth band, but he has been volunteering every week to help our beginners prepare for competition this year. One of the performers heard about us when he lived in Mexico and was taking bagpipe lessons from one of the only bagpipe instructors in the area (probably one of very few in the country). He said he was moving to Seattle and "I want to play with Northwest Junior Pipe Band."

We're proud of these dedicated beginners, who worked hard and worked together to master these challenging instruments, earning 1st place of 3 youth pipe bands at this competition. The Bellingham Games returned to Hovander Park, which is an ideal setting for a Scottish Highland Games event.

Grade 5 bands play Marches only (Quick March Medley). Tunes in this set:

- Flett from Flotta
- Old Rustic Bridge
- Leaving Liverpool
- Meeting of the Waters

I'm not entirely happy about the footage, I got into position late, and should have just moved closer. :)
