I finally get a postal train in Sweden! I wanted it on the high iron out somewhere at speed, but this will suffice.

Here is an Rc3 with 18 Postal waggons at Stockholm C.

According to my source about these cars..."The big difference is the new suspension which, in combination with disc brakes, also makes them quiet. They are not heavier than regular freight cars, they just sound heavier. It is possible to load them to 22.5 tonnes per axle load but maximum axle load is 20 tonnes for speeds over 100 km/h. The boxcars, Gblss-y, and the all new container cars, Lgss-y, are approved for 160 km/h. Green Cargo got 10 Rc-locos geared for 160 km/h especially for the post trains."

  • Ja, tack!

The one of the postal train is the only Rc3 I have seen in the 4 trips to Sweden. I was rather supprised to see it, but then again, unlike all the diesels here, the electrics just keep going, and going, and going.... :) Thanks again for the video, hope you had the heater on in the cab!

  • Have a few clips of an Rc3 internally, although I'm explaining stuff in swedish but I thought you would somewhat like them anyway.. cheers/nick
