Internet-video star Caitlin Hill, known online as TheHill88, received the National Art Club's most prestigious award in New York City this week. The Australian now joins such former "Medal of Honor" recipients as Tennessee Williams, Usher, Leonard Bernstein, Salvador Dali and Martin Scorsese. Ms. Hill, who received the first US Visa for her ability as a "web star," is Hitviews Chief Creative Office. Hitviews, which connects marketers to some of the most popular online-video stars, is backed by top entertainment executives including the co-founder of Miramax, a radio personality who introduced The Beatles at Shea Stadium, media leaders who discovered top show business talent, and pioneers who built radio, TV and movie institutions.

  • How on earth did she win the award? The remarkability of the prize just went down by a lot.

  • what did she do????? go on You-Tube & make silly teenager videos? hmmmm....(BOGUS)

  • THAT was winging it? You are a natural talent, Caitlin, a real charmer.

  • he is guy is actually a humble man. plz dont judge people by looks, specially Mr. Aldom

  • wow she is cool

  • I absolutely love Caitlin and the speech was really funny but I don't think her work falls into the same category as Salvador Dali's. Then again I'm not entirely sure what the award was related to.

  • A natural speaker and the award couldn't go to a better person. She is a true representative of the common person who is brave enough to try while the rest of us sit and criticize.

  • I am inclined to agree with you. I like Caitlin's videos, but she has not earned this award.
