Paul Jacob presents Ari Armstrong w/ Modern-Day Sam Adams Award

Paul Jacob presents - and Ari Armstrong accepts - the Modern-Day Sam Adams Award at the 2nd Annual Sammies.

Ari Armstrong, of Westminster, Colorado, won the $10,000 prize for his relentless—and ubiquitous—defense of free markets and individual liberty in the state of Colorado. He is author of FreeColorado.com and a columnist for the Grand Junction Free Press. In the last year, Aris work has been published in the Rocky Mountain News, Colorado Springs Gazette, Denver Post Online, and featured on numerous radio and television news programs.

Over 300 people attended the 2nd Annual Sammies on Saturday, April 18, 2009, at the Marriott Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel. Sponsored by the Sam Adams Alliance, the Sammies recognizes and rewards every day people for their activism in support of individual liberty and economic freedom at the state and local level.
