@busessuck1 You know what you are talking about and I can't argue with you cause I have the same oppinion. The clarinet is underestimated when it comes to Blues-stuff. Mostly you think of guitar or harp, but the clarinet is also " a crying instrument", so to speak.

@kickingmule Yeah, I think it's a shame it never realy caught on as with the harp... I think it's what makes the Jazzy blues ensembles sound so unique, like with the harlem hamfats and bumblebee slim's band
also y'know on Tommy Johnson's Black Mare Blues that features the crying clarinet that's just brilliant

@busessuck1 Yes I agree, the clarinet is a great instrument, and it fits in so well in this recording by Arnett Nelson, clarinet, together with Washboard Sam !
