@71GA There IS an official Linux version of Maya. It's for Red Hat, so you'll need to use alien to convert the rpms into debs, but yeah. DreamWorks and Pixar both use it.

LINUX UBUNTU is more fast than windows i love that i'm learning so fast BLENDER because i know MAYA but i miss MAYA and i can not use it because before when i install it on ubuntu SUCKS i hope now with this process of wine be better so like that will be myself using 2 softwares of 3d . BUT WINDOWS IS THE WORST CRAP WATHEVER AMOUNT OF MEMORY RAM YOU USE WILL TAKE TO MUCH JUST IN FEW STUPID THINGS EVEN IF YOU UNSTALL SOFTWARES WINDOWS IS A CRAP . I LOVE UBUNTU AND I MISS MAYA

@happygamestvfun1 @francosproductions i use maya but the last time i install on ubuntu was 9.4 i guess and it wasn't so good so from there i decided to use blender and there is a lot diference in speed , i love maya but if this works very well with wine that will be aweson i never tried to install wine in order to install maya , when i did was converting files but sucks no menus screen was frozen , but i will try again but with wine .

No!!!! ...Without Wine. It is Installed right on Ubuntu Linux (Maya and Nuke have Linux packages too - not for Debian - Ubuntu but for Red Hat so it is difficult to install it i must convert all Red - Hat packages to Debian........Ufffff...)
With Wine it would be much slowly....I think
