  • I have a 09 Pilot and I love it. Drove from California to Colorado, 18 hours trip with 6 people and all their stuff Pilot is wide and does great in the snow. And I got 21 miles per gallon with a roof basket full of stuff. Pilots 4wd is full time and front wheel based, better in snow. I feel pilots fully independent suspension feels less floaty. Both are great and 4runner is better at rock hopping , but for long trips with the family in the snow Pilots rock

  • Honda pilot is not a truck its a minivan.

Is made on the same chassis as honda odyssey minivan.

Get a 4runner or pathfinder, those are trucks!!!!

  • Both great vehicles, both built for different purposes such as seperate frame and body vs unibody, all time 4 wheel drive vs selectable 4 wheel drive, 6000 lb towing capacity vs 2000lb towing capacity. I beleive the Pilot to be more comparable to the Hilander, not the 4-Runner.

  • @BETO1BETO2 wat do he or she say about the 2009 honda pilot

  • The honda pilot is very nice and all, but it still doesnt compare to a toyota. honda will last you forever, but so will toyota. toyota is more luxurious, and just as reliable. yes its a little more expensive, but not by much. toyota is leagues ahead of honda in the smooth suspensions. is in my humble opinion, #1 is toyota, and #2 is honda, dont get the pathfinder, nissan frames rust quickly. but most important of all, dont buy a domestic unless you want to live at the mechanic shop.

  • I'll take the 4runner.

  • @Hempstead35711550 probably but I prefer Honda, toyota just seems too shady for me, and people I know that owns toyotas are shady too.

  • @BETO1BETO2 Lets just stop on this...... But you gotta admit they both make good cars even though there having problems. But he could also compare the 2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid which gets almost the same MPG.

  • @Hempstead35711550 again, what do you expect from a shady co.?

  • @BETO1BETO2 Do you think the american technicians just to bary the Toyota name they could off repeated it. They didn't because they can't. I have 2 4runners an '08 and '09 never had a problem with nothing. My friend has the '09 Pilot and he complains every day......
