Lone Black Horse Avoids Capture @ Calico Roundup

Calico roundup video taken on January 16, 2010 at approximately 1:30p. In the first clip you will see a lone horse enter the scene from the left. This horse avoided capture and is shown running along the mountain above the trap site. This horse repeatedly called to the horses captured in the pens below - the trapped horses called back a number of times. This video was taken on private Soldier Meadows Ranch property. Healthy wild horses losing their freedom forever for no reason except the greed mentality of cattle ranchers. Millions of acres of land, yet no room for the wild horses. Guess if man can't profit off of something, we consider it valueless.

I'm glad he got away. I saw a few escape last summer in Idaho, sadly, most don't...And tragically, once the lone horses escape, they are left without their family bands.

I understand that sometimes the horses are in an area with little water or food, but it must be terrifying for them to have this huge helicopter herding them somewhere and then they end up inside a pen.
