Astra Superstars (Sega Saturn)

Gameplay footage of the Sega Saturn port of Astra Superstars Arcade/ST-V. The game is running in 4MB mode allowing faster loads. Gameplay is rather unique. Other then the DBZ series, I've yet to come across another "air fighting" game. Astra Superstars is considered Waku Waku 7's indirect sequel due to the fact that Sunsoft made both games. Characters cast are completely different in either games. One similarity both games have is that the main heroines have a vocal BGM (Maron from Astra and Arina from Waku).

Have you played Psychic Force 2012 for the Sega Dreamcast? It also a decnt 'flying' fighting game.

@majesticlizard At least one: A Mr. Bernie Stolar. If there's anyone else at Sega who contributed to the Saturn's downfall in America, I don't think they did as much to make it fail as Mr. Stolar.

The witch character has an awesome theme. So does the main guy, Lettuce. Wish this had seen a wider release so more people could have played it. I got it not too long after seeing it in action on here.

The 4MB RAM cart makes so much difference to this games performance allowing it to run at 60fps constantly and very fast load times, thank god for it xD
