He wrote this for eric roche who was a real inspiration for him :)

but alot of people find that it fits a story of their own, like alot of his songs do. for example his song "First Time" rings a very significant bell with me :)

The first time we played Newton's new cd we were on a mini-break vacation, sitting in the car, and suddenly THIS song blasted out of the speakers...My hubby had a difficult time dividing his attention between traffic and his sobbing wife! In three weeks it'll be 5 years since my dad has passed away and not a day goes by when I don't want to call him, tell him what I've been up to or ask his advice. I still miss you more than words can ever say dad...but this song comes close.

this song means so much to me, I couldn't even begin to put it into words!

When i was nine, my Daddy died. He was the greatest man I've yet met, even now, ten years on.

subsiquently, my teen years were hectic and traumatic, I did a whole host of things i'm certainly not proud of, but i just hope, with my whole heart that he can forgive me, is proud of me for turning things around,

and most importantly, still loves me, even if just half as much as i love him.
