The predecessor to Monster Trucks Unleashed, Minclip.com's simply titled "Monster Trucks" was also produced by StimuNation Games. Unfortunately, with Monster Trucks being the first in the installment, Miniclip may have gotten the short end of the stick, since all of the new ideas were used for Candystand's sequel.
Regardless, Monster Trucks is still a great game, and very easy to play. This installment in the series does not have the same features as Unleashed does, and because of this, the truck stays on the ground for most of the game. You cannot jump at will, and the tire spikes are not as effective. There are also no truck upgrades or customizations available.
Here's a breakdown of each level:
Canyon Run: There's a trick to landing that involves landing on your front tire and then leaning back, to keep your speed but also keep control. You'll notice on a few jumps the truck appears to be "breaking", which is bad since at that point the truck can become inverted.
Assault Course: It's very hard to do wheelies on this game, so going over cars easily is very difficult. Hitting a car going full speed will cause your truck to glitch and probably mess up the physics, which again, is bad. Besides not being able to do wheelies, this round went well.
Obstacle Course: This level is very short, but takes a while just because you have to navigate and maintain control of the truck's tilt, since you will see on several occasions the truck will try to go vertical. Notice at the beginning of the level when the truck plows into the cars at full speed, the truck "teleports" on top of the cars. I got lucky.
Bus Jump: In both versions of this game, the Bus Jump is relatively easy. There is not much to deal with in terms of cars and odd shaped bits, mainly just a bunch of ramps and flat top busses.
Doomsday Race: I should mention first, that it is virtually impossible to beat The Destructor in this race. This is because traction and suspension seem to NOT affect Destructor at all, as you will see him simply GLIDE over everything and even do backflips. It's difficult to maintain speed, and the jump at the ending is no exception, there is just no real way to get the speed to clear the gap, and this I lose the race.

There are some parts that COULD be done better, but for the most part this game is very unforgiving and buggy in some parts, so it's extremely difficult to speedrun. I flexed my gaming skill better on my Commando and Panda Pang runs.

Looks reasonably easy to me.

In terms of trying to complete it as fast as possible without losing much momentum, it's extremely hard. There's a number of bugs in the game.

It's a speedrun - a fast completion of a game. They're fun to watch for some people, while others learn tips and tricks from them.
