I understand why it can't pass. Assignments under the MERS system were executed without such record keeping so as to afford a current "supposed" owner of the note the information requested in the bill. Someone is to be screwed - either the banks who bought into the MERS system or the citizens who believed in centuries old property law. Of course citizens got financially violated. Let fruitless talk of the mortgage strike ensue... this info will never go viral and gain traction. Sad reality

Just one more example of why we need term limits at all levels and why we need to vote out all incumbents in every election. Less time in office = less time to build a monarchy. We need more "public servants" and fewer "career politicians", the two are not the same.
