Ademo Caged Over Court Clerk's Error

Ademo Freeman of copblock.org was denied the right to a jury trial in his Chalking 8 case because the clerk of the superior court sent his jury selection notification to a nonexistent address. Judge Lyons does not consider the evidence (the notice returned by the postal service to the court), washing his hands by claiming the supreme court to be the proper venue for such a grievance. Ademo serves a 60 day sentence for going limp after he was arrested for chalking at a protest at the Manchester police department on June 4, 2011.

I just found out about you guys because this came up on my subs list, i was not aware that this website and organization existed. Now that I do I am definitely going to support it. I admire each and every person that works with copblock.org and has the courage to hold the police accountable in protest. The clips i viewed on the website make me sick to my stomach as I watch the disgusting display of police officers arresting and abusing innocent people. My heart and mind stands in solidarity.

I disagree. He obviously wrote that particular address on the paperwork he signed. It all doesn't matter because he was convicted. He is now a 5 time felon with no real life ahead of him. No one will hire him. He can't vote nor can he own a gun. The PD can pull him over and search him anytime without a real cause. One slip up and he goes back to jail or prison. He did it to himself.
