  • You know whats best?... That plane is not Irish, Brit, US nore Russian ore French ore German, not Italian... forget China, India, Brazil...its from a country most of you wouldent think... the Company takes its name from a mounten, that mounten is neer the town of Luzern, and that town lies in the hart of witch land? Right!!! SWITZERLAND!!!!!

  • @Rschaltegger Funny thing is that it looks at first glance like a WW2 twin seater P-51 Mustang, TP-51D. Still this airplane is probably the most advanced fighter aircraft that Ireland will ever need because since we are so polite to the rest of the world the rest of the world is too polite to Ireland ever to want to invade. Its good for parades though.

Oh I asure you it could fight...at least in a ground fighting war suport role. ther was an incident with Mexican PC-9 were they used to fight rebells in giapas... was a big political outrage in oure parliament then.

  • @Rschaltegger I agree with you, the PC-9M could blow most things on the ground to bits. Its about as powerful as an Apache Ground Attack Helicopter when it has under wing weapons loaded and its a lot faster and longer range. I thought it was so cool I got myself a desktop miniature of an Irish PC-9M on Ebay for €70 ($100USD). Just type in PC-9M on Ebay and you can see it also. The company is in the Philipines but its free shipping.

  • @emmetgb So, there still A different plane. Just like a Yaris is different to a Corolla.

  • @Leonidas261910 but pc9s are even better then pc7s. :)

  • @Rschaltegger Mexico operates PC-7's :P

  • All we need is a few more of them :)

  • Yea. So proud of the Irish air Corp a fine show they put on in Newcastle co down yesterday .proud 2b Irish !

  • @hurlingstar1 One note why Ireland can be so proud that its front line aircraft is the Pilatus PC-9M is that it shows us and the world that thanks to Ireland being friends with almost every country on Earth we don't need anything more powerful then a turboprop twin seater trainer. Almost no other nation on Earth can boast as good diplomatic relations as Ireland does. Because everyone likes us we don't need 4th Generation Jet Fighters. Ive got a model of the PC-9M in my room I'm so proud.
