  • I was a kid when Layne died, but I still remember being sad the day it happened. I remember being angry. I didnt know Alice in Chains as well as I do now, but I already knew that one of the best singers in the world was dead. Now, being a fan as I am, the only thing I can think about his death is that no genius really fits in this world. We will love him and his voice forever. RIP Layne.

  • Layne was the best. He is. and He'll be.

when I listen to this song, I listen to the text and melody, I cry...

  • he was such a happy man and a great person. very talented soul and big hearted. Stay cool and keep rockin man

  • Yep, this is the best one I've seen, so sad listening and tragic watching but it gets the grief up and out, a better way than stuffing it only to have to come out in the worst ways later. Fantastic job on this video, a million kudos.

  • No sabia que a layne le gustara Ella Fitzgerald!

  • @minilika I agree, no genius fit into this world, the best are no longer among us, how I miss Layne, we still have the music track always remember him for ...

  • A lot of people say metallics sucks, and alot of people say AIC sucks. But i want to say something, yes james hetfield from Metallica and Layne were not friends, but metallica and Alice in Chains yes. They only make fun of each other. And we all know that James was sad at the moment Layne died. So please only enjoy the music and don't get everything so serious. R.I.P

  • I don't listen to Alice in Chains often, but this fucking song gets me every time. This normally would sound cheesy, but you can fucking hear the man's pain from his vocals. RIP brother.

  • What a waste of a terrific talent. I remember when I heard Layne had died. It was well known that it was a matter of time for years before. It was amazing he lasted as long as he did. He had actually faded into obscurity before dieing. But we still have this music and voice to listen to. Incredible.

  • Thank you!! Great Tribute to Layne. He was such a beautiful person, inside and out.. He means so much to me, even though he's been gone for almost 10 years. He is still in my life everyday. I miss him so much. What a great vocalist and artist he was. The Best in my opinion. It's nice to see how many people still listen to his songs and care for him. Never forgotten, RIP Layne. Hope you are hanging out with my dad. He was great too. The Best

  • not many people understand what lanes music was about. i great to all who do!he was very special person!heroin did not destroy his wit,his beautiful mind that was full of all kind of art expressions.he did not wanted 4 us to take heroin,as he sung in Wake up! he was giving guy!this tribute is great!

  • First off-stellar job on this video. Really. You could not have picked a better song to showcase Layne's amazing voice, chosen better video clips, and better photos. Job well done.

And like I said, this song, to me, truly showcases just how truly, truly amazing Layne's voice was. His voice was truly unique. We will not see his like again.....RIP Layne.....
