Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is a chronic disorder that usually affects people in middle or late life and is characterized by excruciating pain around the eyes, nose, lips, jaw, forehead or scalp. This pain may be triggered by such simple actions as brushing the teeth, applying makeup or encountering a slight breeze.

Listen as William A. Friedman, M.D., University of Florida College of Medicine Department of Neurosurgery chair, discusses this painful affliction.

  • I have been treated by this doc and was super disappointed (GREATLY HARMED) by him and the treatment/RF/electro induced nerve lesion! As a scientist myself, I have found its always dangerous to consider yourself an indisputable expert in any field, as he obviously does! TN is not curable only treatable to some degree and then only sometimes!!! I would avoid him at all cost! Regards e ;(
