Mute Swans are the largest Water Fowl in the world. It's rare to see them in flight in the Northeast but on February 21, 2010 Ernie Sarro, www.TheExpertSeries.TV, videotaped two swans flying over Alewife Brook Parkway in Cambridge, Mass. This is one in a series called, Nature Senses by Ernie Sarro.
So spectacular! I live in London. Last week on Hampstead Heath three mute swans flew and circled the ponds in formation, the sound of their wings a dull roar. A couple of months earlier a newly fledged cygnet gave its wings a tryout, taking off from a pond and landing on a grassy slope a few hundred feet away.

Excellent to see them flying high over a built up area. I live on the west shore of Lake Ontario and have seen them flying many times but seldom at a great height. I think they only do that when they are crossing built up areas away from a watercourse. Thanks for posting it.
