firstly, its not compressor surge, its turbo flutter, when the throttle is closed and the only way for the air to get out is back through the compressor blades (hence the use of BOVs). surge is when the turbo is trying to flow more air than the engine can take in with the throttle open, causing it to skip, similarly to flutter. secondly, custom gear set? every gear sounds straight cut except 4th?

@ningablind that is compressor surge from the turbo, most newer turbos are ball bearing so they are alot more stronger and reliable now, so theres no point using blow off valves.
-
Now can you do that for 161 laps??

Great Vid mate. Top peddlin and wheel work.

@RaceCrewz Hell yeh, coming down Conrod. ~300kph there I guess.
hey guys
mark did drive it well sonsidering the suspension set up was very bad , but the car will get some more work and it will be a rocket ship shortly.
times were around the 2.20 flat a=on saturday with 4wd and 2.26 on sunday with only two wheel drive and a fairly greasy track , lot of rain around.
i think the fastest cup car ran 2.17 on saturday, so we were very happy as this is the cars first time on the track.
cheers russ

speed was about 270/280 , we were having to roll off the throttle on the crests as the car was to unstable when on the throttle
