Just for information's sake, the reason it's pronounced zealot and not zee-lot is because the word ''zeal'' is borrowed from French where it's spelled « zèle » (with the accent making the « eh » sound like in « meh » « heh »). This sound is the same as in the English pronunciation of zealot. The French word was borrowed from the latin « zelus », which borrowed from the Greek « jealous » (see the resemblance?).
