  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I think David does a nice job overall, and as a White/Squre/Howe trio, it's great. OW does GD's keyboards well, David sings Horns vocals well, better than he covers JAs vocals.

I don't know why nobody seems to hear the cracking voice. 0:38 Every video I've seen seems to have one or two of these voice cracks.

  • You got me there. I forgot to mention that. I saw Jon 1st time solo when he released a solo album called Animation in 1982(?) after he did Friends of Mr. Cairo w/Vangelis. He tried to get Vangelis to go on the road with him but Vangelis doesnt like to tour. Imagine what that would have been like if he did.

  • The Friends of Mr Cairo is not a Jon solo album and it's pretty rude to Vangelis to call it that.

  • the old men still have BALLS!!! bravo and encore! (get well soon, Jon)

  • I've seen Jon Anderson twice on his solo tours. He can make a very nice living on his own. I think he's made more solo albums than Yes albums. "Friends of Mr. Cairo" is one of my favorites. I miss him in Yes, however, I saw them in Atlanta on the 7th and was very pleasantly suprised. Benoit is doing a great job. These videos on YT dont do him or the band justice. I liked it so much, I'm going to see them in Hollywood, FL on the 17th. I just can't let this band go. I hope they extend their tour.

  • First of all...they are promoting the tour as "SQUIRE,HOWE & WHITE Of YES...Introducing Oliver Wakeman & David Beniot".

Any chance to see any members of Yes performing live makes it worth the price of the ticket. I would go to see any Yes members..past or present, perform live...in any configuration.

Here's wishing Jon Anderson a speedy recovery and return to the concert stage...and a big thanks to the members of Yes for continuing to educate us with their great musicianship and music.

  • its a shame that yes nembers cannot wait for the incredible, unique, and most voice of Mr Jon Anderson THIS IS NOT YES, the voice for Jon is the soul of Yes, his voice is a Trade mark for Yes

  • Dam right. Even though Benoit is doing a good job on vocals, Jon to my mind is the engine room of this band lest anyone forget.

  • what i mean is,

the fact that Yes has been used for lineups not including Squire and Anderson at odd times,

doesn't justify one or the other doing it.

it just creates a tit for tat scenario.

considering the dearth of new Yes recorded material, it seems that songwriting should be the priority for the moment. Magnification is really good. it has been a long time since they've released a new song. when Squire and Howe put it down, like they did on Tempus Fugit, the results are magic.
